Tach together!
Yes I do have, nothing can be longer hear from me, but was also something powerful going on the last few weeks, let me tell you! I'll try once more or less ordered to begin. was
visit
In February last the long awaited reunion with my parents! At the time I've got me in advance at a very very very nice and it was just mom and dad after half a year to once again can take in your arms!
The first day began with a great Rosienenstutennutellafrühstück! Wonderful, I'll tell you, just fantastic ..... In the afternoon I showed my parents and even fine the city and we were even in the museum, because I had ne weak moment ....
was also relax with first non-large, because the next day we went even with ner 19 men Propellermaschiene to Rurrenabaque, a small town in Departamiento Beni, start from where many tours in the jungle and the pampas.
's went first for us 3 days and 3 nights in the jungle and it was just incredibly beautiful. I just love the jungle! We also have a really really good agency caught, because in Rurrenabaque's really NEN scrap heap like hell and you have to be careful with whom you travel. Since mass tourism and anthropological and ecological recklessness are not really my thing, we have chosen a more expensive but this auch rischtisch rischtisch jute Organisation entschieden was sich auf jedenfall gelohnt hat!
I remember it, that is, red macaws, we have also seen yellow macaws and and and .... The trip to
Rurre have paid off all cases and the parents have really fought bravely and surprisingly went through a lot, but if it already is considering advanced age is not the course! - Spaaaaaaaaaß
Wednesday evening I then called up another friend from Seminar - Judith from Terminal picked up what was not quite as simple and as Peruvian mobile phones can not communicate with Bolivian ^ ^ wait, after more than 2h gabs but finally has a happy reunion . Thursday we went with the parents, Tim and Judith on the Death Road, which I now have 'm going down for the 2nd time. It's just always really hard in what a short time, the climates change from snow-capped mountains to inen bush!
We had five really a lot of fun and the trip was worth it at all costs!
was just something cheap that both visits but were at the same time as we hammer out the more or less well.
Saturday and Sunday were Mama Papa and I were on the Isla del sol - sol sin ....
because it is over 4000m and hike not for the strength of the parents was nichtakklimatisierten we stayed just one night, which was freezing cold indescribable.
And then there was already Monday again and Judith was gone and my parents again = (They really hit top I have to say, neither the amount nor the food could be thrown off track, very good;)
I am the way, moved back into the house, but with Tim! Finally we have 2 rooms in our house and are happy ^ ^ kip is really cool with him in the room. containing all my best dear friend Tim is: D Then we were
Saturday also still in Oruro, to Rio de Janeiro are probably the biggest carnival town. What had lacked since simply indescribable. Carnival is here that is quite different than in Germany, nothing with candy, here will be fought with water and foam! It was big thief and the day was an unforgettable experience and have paid off all cases. Since we had no accommodation we stayed only 1 day, which has ausgreicht my opinion, because after 5 hours to put the butt sore and really cool to see dance groups, which then hands me also because somehow repeats the Ganzeer after all. Problem of the foam stuff with the one was sprayed in the face was / is that it is corrosive easy, and accordingly does our face from now. Particularly hard hit Su hats, all peels off easily ..... naja so is just dat:) I hope you
Carnival also a lot of fun as every year but you will certainly have had had.
also had yesterday also the founder of the Fundación Arco Iris, Padre José birthday and all volunteers were invited to his home where the indescribably good breakfast and the free beer waiting for us. The comprehensive offer was then used diligently. Now again Tuesday and is likely as well as you think, Carnival already over. Had almost forgotten what an extremely important one.
As you may noticed there was here in La Paz a heavy landslide at the very many people have lost it and have good and now are homeless. I initially thought, so suck a couple of houses "fell down" jaaaaaaaa, think! Tim and I had a few staff and girls from the project site and have even made a picture of the disaster. I think it was previously with the most badass thing I've ever seen in life. Like a bad movie, really, but unfortunately real Truncated roads, houses stand cheer head, simply razed everything to the ground. In addition, the adjacent cemetery was also affected by the landslide, so that just half of the cemetery is bagged. Open Graves, a bestial rotting stench, weeping people, the city employees the bodies from the upturned or open graves with mask in plastic bags "packed". Just plain gross! Fortunately, there were no deaths, there were fears that cracks in house walls, a landslide and all were evacuated in time. Actually, the incredibly images this destruction occurred with no lives.
On this occasion, have also canceled the big Mardi Gras celebration of the Foundation as well as two people lost their homes. Carnival was general here in La Paz does not occur. On the one hand, pity, on the other hand, totally understandable!
Nungut my friends, I
properly because sometimes Kölle Allaaaaaaaaaaf and Prost
the Lukas
ps: photos will later have now really hungry;)

Why Have I Got A Lump Inside My Nose
Zwischenbericht
Hi,
now is it already time for the interim report. Yes, half is already around, but in contrast to most other volunteers I am not indulging in merciless self-pity and miserable all day long around how cruel it is but that half is over. When I talk constantly and bring about the end of each day I would deal with it, then it is certainly faster than one would like. I just keep enjoying the wonderful time here in La Paz and not racking my head over the end. It will come, like it or not, since it also uses the Klagerei nothing, which anticipates only once.
The work at the Casa Esperanza I still very much fun. In recent months, the big holiday of the guys, that means no homework help, and many excursions and you could spend more time with the guys. The highlight of the holiday was probably the holidays together in the tropical Chapare region in which Departamiento Cochabamba is located.
The Beneficiaries and the staff have enjoyed the time and it was clear in my view, extremely important for the guys even need to be outside of the project.
It was just beautiful, they even perform in a completely different environment and their behavior more clearly from the off in La Paz. There was no quarrel among themselves, all were really happy to see something completely new, as some are never gone beyond the boundaries of the La Paz Departamientos and never were in the rain forest. I felt sometimes like a big brother which is also a kind of confirmation was my turn. was in an unknown environment for the guys, like me, all foreign and they were clearly confused what has made it clear in: Luke get you there with me go? Do you come with me this and that, etc. .. Otherwise they are in La Paz are the tough guys afraid of anything and deliver the typical macho image. But with just completely strange things that deviate from the usual things, such as jumping from five meters from a bridge a river. Most people were afraid and only wanted me to jump together. It was wonderful to see how the guys who made some of them new frontier experience. It was searched and found it was an unforgettable experience in the Chapare jungle in which the bond and trust between den Kindern und mir noch weiter gefestigt und gestärkt hat. Man kommt für one year and then unfortunately goes again. As Fidel has given me, for example, said embracing that he will miss me very much if I will go, I asked myself, how much you are allowed a bond to build with them for not all too great a gap to leave with them when then the time of return come to Germany.
What was very interesting and also amusing, was the work of Max and Maria in our project, Casa Esperanza. As their projects over Christmas and parts of the holiday was closed, they have helped out during this period in our project. Their behavior has frequently brought me to smile and even laugh. You have just found again in their practice. So war es also nice to see how much the guys been listening to and respect and accept
The working atmosphere was in the last three months rather disjointed, as there were many personnel changes, from bizarre to me and not some obvious reasons. There are new
Educador, professors and a new psychologist, as one can imagine that you once again get to know first have to be able to work well together.
also stood to leave the project then the intermediate seminar in Santa Cruz. There, I am particularly by the relation with other volunteers from other organizations has become clear how well the Fundación Arco Iris is constructed and how fortunate I'm so happy with my project and my work I am doing to be there. Some volunteers were really significant problems in the project so easy not to be left in place. Particularly those concerning this seminar was very helpful. Moreover
did it right to get to know well other nice volunteers to socialize and share experiences and just talk about all sorts of things. to reflect on past time and has Onlooking ahead to the coming again made clear just how beautiful the last few months were and how beautiful but also the coming months will hopefully!
As far as the WG-life it is not easy. Our house is still in Alto Obrajes renovated and is ready to move again soon. Since all eight volunteers had to leave the house and we could not all be together, Max and I have moved us kindly provided to a couple to move to the other Obrajes Voluntärswg. However, I have mixed feelings. On one hand I'm happy again to our house, on the other hand, I realized during the seminar as important to me is my best friend Tim.
such a best friend is found not soon and I just want to spend the next six months with him in the same house. The time to get experienced here ever again and it is simply following the year no longer in contact with each other like it in here, currently the Residence. The solution to all problems would be easy, that Tim may move to my house, that wish remains for us, unfortunately, by my opinion, refused to absurd reasons. I will in any case, again with the other volunteers of the house put together to hopefully find an amicable solution.
on Friday is already the visit of my parents which I'm already looking forward. I'm just curious how they see my new home, as it affects land and people and I just want to show them how I live here and what I'm doing here. Otherwise, I'm
good spirits and looking forward to the second half year of my service in other countries!
greetings from La Paz,
your Lukas
